B-Side is delighted to announce that STILL BILL is coming to New York’s IFC Center January 27th- February 4th, with special guest Bill Withers. Withers will be in attendance for a special Q&A with the filmmakers Alex Vlack and Damani Baker for the film’s opening two nights.

STILL BILL swept the festival circuit last year, premiering at SXSW and garnering top honors at the UrbanWorld Film Festival, including Best Documentary Feature Film and the Audience Award Winner. STILL BILL is an intimate portrait of soul legend Bill Withers, best known for his classics “Ain’t No Sunshine,” “Lean On Me,” “Lovely Day,” “Grandma’s Hands,” and “Just the Two of Us.” With his soulful delivery and warm, heartfelt sincerity, Withers has written the songs that have – and always will – resonate deeply within the fabric of our times.

STILL BILL WINS BIG AT URBANWORLD FILM FESTIVAL 2009

The 13th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival, presented by BET Networks, announced the winners for feature, documentary, short film, screenplay and audience award categories. The five-day festival was held September 23-27, 2009 in New York City; wrapping up on September 27 with a closing awards brunch to congratulate the competition’s winners. Filmmakers Damani Baker and Alex Vlack’s received top honors for their film STILL BILL including Best Documentary Feature Film and the Audience Award Winner.
